My Story
I didn’t start in usability, I started in marketing. After earning my BBA with a concentration in consumer behavior, I moved to Ann Arbor in search of better opportunities and that's where I enrolled in Washtenaw Community College’s web development program. That’s where I discovered UX, and it immediately clicked. The idea of understanding a digital experience so deeply you could predict what users will do, and learning even more when they don’t, was fascinating.
That curiosity turned into a career. I landed a dual internship through Ann Arbor SPARK with two tech startups, followed by a role managing webinars, websites, and outreach for a environmental science-focused marketing firm. Then I joined Verint as a usability analyst, where I led user testing, heuristic evaluations, and qualitative research across both B2B and B2C platforms. I worked with clients in government, retail, non-profit and SaaS, often stepping into high-constraint projects where research needed to be fast, clear, and actionable.
I’ve audited prototypes in one-time screen shares, evaluated Spanish-language sites without knowing the language, and guided stakeholders through research findings at every level. I led more user testing sessions than anyone on my team and often acted as a bridge between analysts, stakeholders, and leadership by translating research into decisions.
Outside of work, I train and teach at Mamba Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, a practice I’ve pursued since 2008. It’s a big part of my life and keeps me sharp mentally and physically. I also play jazz drums and consult as a master bicycle mechanic, where I continue to teach bike maintenance to law enforcement as an instructor through Luka Tactical.

“He fights for the users.”
It’s a line from Tron, but also the clearest way to describe what I do; advocate, simplify, and design for people.
